You Can’t Pay for This

Screen Shot 2014-12-01 at 7.25.24 AMWell, actually you can. People buy reviews all the time – even Kirkus is happy to take money from indie authors to furnish them with a glowing review. Which makes this honest-to-God-they-really-like-me review from Publishers Weekly on Friday even more wonderful:

Though first-time author Petersen’s story flits through time and space, it’s easy to follow, and the pieces snap together neatly. Marten’s remorse at wishing Aldrin gone, his determination to save his family, and his banter-rich friendship with Paul all combine to ground the novel.

Yeah, I’m still grinning like a fool over here 🙂

You can read the full review on the Publishers Weekly website or on Publishers Weekly Booklife.

  1. Congratulations! So exciting to get such a fabulous review from Publishers Weekly! I didn’t know that about Kirkus. Interesting! I have always found the fact that people can buy reviews to be very odd.

  2. Wow, Sherrie!!! Looks like YOUR wish on a star came true, too! 😀 😀 😀 Congrats!!! Enjoy the moment. Grin like a fool as long as your face doesn’t freeze that way 😉
